Role Overview In the role of Producer, you are responsible for producing, managing, and retaining a consistently growing book of business.

Responsibilities

Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan.

Prospect new business from existing clients and identified target groups.

Contact prospects to provide quotes and schedule sales appointments.

Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspect current policies, risk management plans, property, products, and records.

Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance, including details of coverages, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information.

Work with service personnel to complete company submissions and select potential markets.

Utilize the proven iWin Sales System to track all sales measurements.

Conduct client and prospect appointments, communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details, and fostering a desire for continued business.

Introduce service personnel to clients and request that service calls be directed to them, forwarding all service‑related calls to the assigned service person.

Build strong relationships with internal partners and external parties to represent the agency well.

Participate in renewals by reviewing expiration lists, determining appropriate actions, and collecting information to prepare renewal submissions.

Maintain production reports and attend all sales meetings as required.

Promote the agency and the insurance industry within the community.

Stay informed of industry developments by reviewing trade press and attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products.

Coordinate timely presentations for both new and renewal business.

Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.

Qualifications, Education, and Licensing

MUST have a current Property & Casualty Insurance License.

MUST have previous experience working in the Insurance/Broker marketplace.

Must have 2–3 years of selling experience, preferably in commercial or personal insurance products.

Knowledge of Commercial or Personal Insurance products is mandatory based on the line of business the position will support.

Must have all licenses required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency operates, or be very close to obtaining such licenses upon acceptance of a job offer.

College degree preferred, but not mandatory.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong listening skills and attention to detail are required.

Strong negotiation and organizational skills.

The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be made on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
