About the Opportunity We are supporting a global engineered materials manufacturer in the

automotive venting membrane space

as they expand their North American commercial team. This role is ideal for a

technical sales professional

with proven experience selling

venting membranes / pressure compensation solutions

into automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

This is a

hands-on account management and growth role , focused on driving design-ins, RFQs, and platform wins across traditional ICE, EV, and advanced electronics applications.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow existing automotive OEM and Tier-1 accounts across the Midwest and broader North American market

Drive

new business development

for venting membrane solutions, including

pressure equalization vents, ePTFE membranes, and adhesive-backed vent components

Support customers through the full program lifecycle:

concept validation launch production

Work closely with customer engineering, materials, purchasing, and quality teams to define vent performance requirements

Provide technical support on topics such as

airflow, water entry pressure (WEP), IP ratings (IP67/68), contamination resistance, and thermal cycling

Manage RFQs, pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements

Coordinate with internal engineering, product management, and operations teams to support customer programs

Track opportunities, forecasts, and customer activity through CRM

Required Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of experience

in technical sales or account management within the

automotive supply chain

Direct experience selling venting membranes or pressure compensation solutions

(e.g., ePTFE vents, enclosure vents, breathable membranes)

Strong understanding of automotive validation requirements and launch processes

Proven success working with

OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers

Ability to engage confidently with

design engineers and materials teams

Willingness to travel regionally (and occasionally nationally)
