$58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Cadillac seeking Tool Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
Design, fabricate, and modify precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Perform maintenance and repair on existing production tooling and equipment.
Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Conduct precision measurements using metrology instruments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and functionality.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool design and manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience as a Tool Maker, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in operating and setting up manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Expertise in precision measurement tools and techniques (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators).
Solid understanding of tooling materials, heat treatment processes, and GD&T principles.
Completion of a recognized Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship or relevant technical degree/certification.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with advanced CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
Experience with specialized machining processes such as EDM, laser cutting, or 5-axis CNC.
Ability to program and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for precision inspection.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for prototyping or tooling components.
