What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Provide services to State Government accounts, identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities
Develop and execute long‑range planning and account penetration strategies to grow accounts
Lead capture and sales efforts by coordinating with cross‑functional teams
Establish relationships with client decision makers and negotiate client agreements
Monitor competition and recommend changes in products and services based on client requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
7‑10+ years of experience in field sales, particularly in an account executive role within public sector agencies
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas in a growth organization
Strong experience in State Government procurement and writing competitive proposals
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to travel up to 50%
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in government engagement, such as government relations or campaign work
Former director/deputy director/assistant secretary experience in Medicaid, SNAP, etc.
Skilled relationship builder with the ability to engage key stakeholders
Extensive knowledge of competitive and teaming landscape within large agency ecosystems
