Sales Associate Job Description

The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store's overall success and efficiency: demanding direct attention to our brand commitment when servicing our customers and driving results. Responsible for upholding Coach's Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building on-going customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression.

Responsibilities

SALES FLOOR: Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions that align with Company priorities

Take ownership and deliver results while remaining aware of personal and store metrics; create personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with the management team

Create short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals

Take ownership of personal survey results and create plans to improve areas of opportunity

Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate Coach's Selling and Service expectations at all times

Understand changes in the local market and support the execution of local sales strategies and tactics

Drive business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers and maintaining ongoing relationships

Create positive impressions with customers through attire aligned with Coach's Guide to Style

Build credibility and trust as a personal fashion advisor with knowledge of fashion, features, benefits, and competition

Communicate current pricing and promotional strategies to customers

Discuss product features and leverage cross-selling to build the sale

Cross-sell and encourage add-ons related to the customer's shopping needs

Tailor approach to customer needs by reading cues; attend to unique shopping needs

Manage multiple customers simultaneously and follow up consistently to influence/close sales

Flex selling techniques to contribute to store financial results and build lasting customer relationships

Leverage Coach tools and technology to support clienteling efforts

Foster teamwork, trust, and collaboration with internal and external customers

Remain solution oriented and adaptable to changing business and store needs; welcome feedback

Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times

OPERATIONS: Ensure daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service or Coach standards

Complete daily operational tasks including maintaining store, backroom, cash wrap, and visual merchandising to Coach standards

Maintain a clean and tidy selling floor; adhere to retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations and Asset Protection

Replenish inventory on the sales floor as needed

Qualifications and Competencies

Additional Requirements: Experience: 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and competition.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS and Internet), use of walkie talkie, read price and product release sheets.

Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; mobility around the sales floor and stock room; ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds as needed.

Schedule: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with high retail traffic periods.

Base Pay Range : $15.00 to $17.00 hourly
