Palolo Chinese Home is seeking a full-time Activities Leader to join our team in Honolulu, HI. As an Activities Leader, you will work alongside our dedicated staff to plan and implement engaging activities and events for our senior community. This role offers the opportunity to bring joy, purpose, and socialization to our residents through a variety of programs tailored to their interests and preferences.

Starting Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 - Based on experience and skillset.

Responsibilities:

Actively engage residents and participants in activities to promote socialization and well-being

Provide personal care assistance, including eating, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and ambulation

Work collaboratively with CNAs, nurses, and supervisors to ensure the safety and well-being of participants

Develop and lead creative programs that cater to the unique interests of residents

Foster a nurturing and engaging environment for residents to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional health

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Nurse Aide certification from an accredited Nurse Aide Training Program preferred

Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience and/or knowledge of activities suitable for a geriatric setting

Ability to work with ill, aged, frail, and/or disabled residents

Strong communication skills in English

Empathy, compassion, and professionalism in handling sensitive situations
