Business Development Professional
who thrives on connecting people, uncovering opportunities, and driving long-term growth and can sell.
Your Impact in This Role
Identify New Project Opportunities Monitor market activity, attend industry events, and proactively engage decision-makers in commercial real estate, development, and architecture.
Grow Our Pipeline Leverage local knowledge and relationships to target commercial opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, education, industrial, civic, and retail.
Represent the Hankins Brand Be the face of Hankins Construction in the community—presenting our value proposition clearly and confidently to owners, developers, and partners.
Work Strategically Across Teams Collaborate closely with preconstruction, estimating, and operations to ensure client expectations are aligned with capabilities and project success.
What You Bring
A track record of success in business development, sales, or client engagement— ideally in commercial construction or real estate development
A strong understanding of the St. Louis market and its network of developers, brokers, and industry influencers
Confidence in leading client meetings, RFQ/RFP pursuits, and presentations
Strategic mindset with the hustle and heart to build from the ground up
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
CRM fluency (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent)
Background in construction management or related field
Active involvement in industry associations (e.g., AGC, CREW, ULI, ICSC)
