Steeltool
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of tools, gauges, and related equipment used in aerospace manufacturing. This role ensures that all tools are properly stored, calibrated, and available to support production operations efficiently and safely.
Functions:
Receive, issue, and track tools, gauges, and equipment to machinists and production staff.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Inspect tools for wear, damage, or calibration needs; coordinate repairs or replacements.
Organize and maintain the tool crib for cleanliness, safety, and accessibility.
Monitor tool usage trends and assist in forecasting tool requirements.
Collaborate with purchasing to order new tools and supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, especially for aerospace‑grade tooling.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling and inventory management.
· Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge of calibration procedures and ISO standards.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Required Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
Familiarity with precision tools, gauges, and machining terminology.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, inventory software).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Pay: $19.25 per hour Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 10-hour shift 6:00am-4:30pm
