What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Audit patient intake packets to distinguish new patients from readmitted patients
Create and maintain accurate patient profiles, ensuring correct data entry of demographics
Verify insurance eligibility and update patient profiles accordingly
Collaborate with the facility’s business office on insurance verification and prior authorization requests
Respond to intake inquiries via email and phone, while managing timely data entry of patient medical history
What is Required (Qualifications)
1-2 years of medical billing experience and familiarity with insurance companies
Must reside in one of the following states: WA, OR, ID, UT, AZ, TX, VA, FL, GA, PA, IA
Acute attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in a medical office setting, particularly related to patient intake and insurance verification
Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations relevant to medical practices
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
A positive and professional attitude, with a strong sense of urgency in time-sensitive situations
Goal-oriented mindset with a consistent track record of performance
