Hybrid (office/telework) work schedules may be available THE ROLE: Property Agent Trainees are the Department's entry-level positions in Rights of Way. Property Agent Trainees receive training in real property acquisition and relocation services, property management, leasing, appraisals, title examination, closings, and deed preparation as they relate to the work of the Division of Rights of Way and perform a wide variety of increasingly difficult duties as technical skills are acquired during the development program. Property Agent Trainees become eligible for promotion to the target classification of Property Agent 1 upon successful completion of the development program. The length of the program is determined by the experience and training requirements of Property Agent 1 and the prior education and experience of the candidate. The development program will not exceed three years. Applicants must be available to travel to trainings, conferences, public meetings, field reviews, etc., both within and outside normal working hours, when necessary. SALARY NOTE: First Year of Training: Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifying experience FS 15 Step 1 $55,328 Master’s Degree FS 15 Step 2 $57,320 Second Year of Training: General Rate FS 15 Step 5 $63,306 ABOUT US: As one of Connecticut’s largest State agencies, DOT employs approximately 3,300 individuals statewide in five bureaus.
