Recruitment Number 25-0434 – The immediate vacancy is with the Department of Accounting & General Services.
Salary: $4,742 to $6,003 per month (SR‑18, Step C to I). Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, applicant qualifications, and other relevant factors. Duties Summary Receive and coordinate requests for the repair and maintenance of schools and other public buildings; conduct informal bid purchasing for supplies, materials, and services required; maintain pertinent operating and fiscal data; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Legal Authorization To Work:
Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Education:
Graduation from high school. Excess experience may substitute for education on a year‑for‑year basis.
General Experience:
Two (2) years of general work experience that required keeping written records. This may include trades, custodial, clerical, or other general fields where record keeping was a major portion of responsibilities.
Specialized Experience:
Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in one or a combination of the following areas:
Scheduling building construction or maintenance work – receiving requests, determining priorities, scheduling jobs, estimating time, manpower, and materials, following up on status, and preparing status reports.
Purchasing building construction or maintenance materials or services – studying market conditions, selecting sources of supply, preparing purchase orders and bid proposals, analyzing cost price proposals.
Sales of building construction or maintenance materials or services – preparing bids, calling on customers, demonstrating merchandise, estimating prices, preparing sales contracts and reports of transactions.
Estimating labor and material costs – examining specifications, compiling itemized materials and price lists, computing cost estimates of materials and labor.
Supervisory Aptitude:
Applicants must have demonstrated aptitude or potential for supervisory duties through successful completion of assignments that involved supervisory responsibilities or aspects.
Driver's License:
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
