WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Supervise food preparation: Ensure every dish meets established standards for flavor, portion size, and presentation.
Manage kitchen staff: Oversee scheduling and task assignments, train new team members, and address conflicts to maintain a motivated, efficient kitchen.
Monitor supplies and equipment: Manage inventory, place orders, and oversee equipment upkeep to ensure fresh ingredients and properly functioning tools.
Maintain safety and sanitation: Enforce food safety and hygiene standards by monitoring temperatures, storage procedures, and cleanliness.
Coordinate with leadership and front of house: Translate the head chef’s vision into actionable direction and communicate with service staff to resolve issues efficiently.
Menu development: Assist in the creation and development of menus in collaboration with the head chef.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
$60,000 – $73,000
This is an hourly position, and overtime will be available

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or ready to make the next step in your career.
Experience in a variety of kitchens – restaurant, catering, banquet – is preferred.
Strong culinary expertise: Must be able to demonstrate and teach a wide range of cooking techniques and plating standards.
Leadership and communication skills: Ability to inspire a diverse team, deliver clear direction, and provide constructive feedback.
Problem-solving under pressure: Be able to remain composed in fast-paced environments, adapting quickly without sacrificing quality.
Organizational excellence: Ability to effectively manage inventory, schedules, simultaneous orders, and overall kitchen organization.
Professionalism: Set the standard for punctuality, cleanliness, and mutual respect within the kitchen.
