About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeping specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, and experience working in a CPA firm or professional accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients
Record and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and post journal entries
Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules
Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies
Support CPAs with workpapers for tax filings and audits
Familiarity with payroll and sales tax filings
Requirements
2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of debits and credits
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Remote Work Prerequisites
A quiet "home office"
Computer with a webcam & headset (minimum 8GB RAM)
Stable, reliable power, and internet connection (at least 5 Mbps download speed and 2 Mbps upload speed)
A backup place of work in case they suffer a power cut or internet failure, as well as a secondary backup internet option (mobile hotspot, Multibam, WiPod, Satellite Internet, etc.)
