Primary Duties
Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
Check, top off, and replace vehicle fluids (engine oil, transmission, coolant, brake, power steering, windshield washer, etc.)
Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance issues, including belts, hoses, tires, lights, wiper blades, and battery condition
Rotate and balance tires as required
Check and adjust tire pressure
Replace air filters and cabin filters
Lubricate vehicle components as needed
Inspection & Reporting
Conduct courtesy vehicle inspections and document findings
Accurately identify and report potential mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors or service advisors
Make maintenance recommendations based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
Shop & Safety Responsibilities
Follow all shop safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and hazardous materials
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Use shop tools and equipment properly and responsibly
Customer Service & Teamwork
Communicate professionally with service advisors and team members
Provide honest, accurate information regarding vehicle condition
Support team operations and assist other technicians as needed
Qualifications & Skills (optional section)
Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in automotive repair
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
6 months of related job experience (Preferred)
Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team environment, and uphold Meineke's commitment to high-quality work.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
State inspector's license or willingness to obtain
