Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead monthly close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations across multiple locations and event types * Analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in areas like payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses * Oversee job costing and inventory accounting by collaborating with operations and warehouse teams * Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with attention to accuracy and timeliness * Support budgeting and forecasting by maintaining expense tracking models and comparing actuals to projections
Requirements:
* At least 6+ years of accounting experience, including three years in a senior-level role * Proficient in Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for large data sets * Familiarity with payroll systems and labor cost allocation across departments or events * Comfortable using accounting platforms like QuickBooks Online, Paycom, and Ottimate * Highly organized and responsive with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline * Strong understanding of job costing, inventory reconciliation, and payroll posting * Experience in industries such as hospitality, consumer goods, or manufacturing is preferred * Skilled in identifying process inefficiencies and contributing to system improvements * Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to financial accuracy
