Job Summary The Housing Stability Specialist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who works within a multidisciplinary team to help individuals and families achieve housing stability. The role partners with clients to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes, delivering therapeutic interventions that foster skills to manage symptoms, obtain and maintain housing, locate barriers, apply for housing programs and coordinate ongoing rental assistance. The Specialist also facilitates psychosocial rehabilitative skills groups, utilizes evidence‑based interventions, and coordinates services related to employment, education, medical care, nutrition, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance and other basic needs.
QMHPs embrace trauma‑sensitive and informed practices, provide Suicide Safer care, and foster a supportive environment. They work in a dynamic setting, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and cultivate a clinical skill set by forging therapeutic relationships with community members and stakeholders. Interventions and services may be office‑ or community‑based and may require the use of a personal automobile. Individuals served may have mental illness, co‑occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and/or IDD.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and/or group skills training using evidence‑based interventions.
Conduct crisis assessment and case management.
Facilitate therapeutic and rehabilitative skill training groups.
Coordinate services related to employment, education, medical care, nutrition, financial and transportation assistance.
Assist clients in applying for housing and housing programs and coordinate ongoing rental assistance.
Education
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Human, Behavioral, or Social Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
License
Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Hours Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary $24.18 – $25.39 per hour based on education
