About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company's mission by identifying member needs and recommending financial solutions, while also overseeing the credit and risk strategy for the commercial lending portfolio. This includes leading and developing teams across commercial credit, processing, administration, and risk, as well as directing credit policies, underwriting standards, loan review, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a strong focus on safe and sound portfolio growth, operational excellence, and exceptional service for members.
Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for a degree. A minimum of 10-15 years' experience in commercial credit, underwriting, and portfolio management is required, along with at least 5 years of direct leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management and be adept at managing independent loan reviews, evaluating underwriting quality, and coordinating response plans for problem loan management. The role also involves maintaining LOS/Core integrations, driving automation, and enhancing credit analytics in partnership with IT/Data.
