Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars./ppstrongASSEMBLY MACHINIST, DEBURR (STARSHIP) RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pulliInterpret drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard to maintain part specifications/liliDeburr and process machined valve components in post machining/liliChase machine cut threads to size if necessary/liliPolish tight tolerance surface finishes and inspect with profilometer/liliWash parts that have gone through deburr process and passivate using citric passivation process when required/liliAssist with material inventory and prep for machining processes/liliOperate a mass finishing barrel tumbler using given recipes for specific parts and materials/liliMeet expectations for productivity and production goals/liliMaintain a clean and efficient work environment/liliConstantly keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibited/liliProvide continuous ideas for process improvements/li/ulpstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate/lili1+ years of professional work experience in a factory/production environment; or the completion of a machining certification/li/ulpstrongPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:/strong/pulli2+ years of deburr experience using various deburr techniques using manual and automated equipment/liliExperience working in a machine shop/liliExperience with basic blueprint reading/liliKnowledge of CNC machining/liliExperience using various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, profilometers, and borescopes/li/ulpstrongADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:/strong/pulliEstimated start time: 1st shift (5:00 AM)/liliAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted, repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting, exposure to typical shop chemicals (coolant, solvents, cleaners) are generally required to perform the functions of this position/li/ulpstrongCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:/strong/ppPay range: Level 1: $22.00 - $24.00/hour Level 2: $24.00 - $27.00/hour Level 3: $26.50 - $30.00/hour/ppYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience./ppBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
