You will develop the strategy, key metrics, and processes to assess the health of production. You will create robust, business-critical automation and take ownership of metrics that drive program-level decision-making. If you thrive on strategic planning, managing multiple priorities, optimizing part flow, and working hands-on in a dynamic environment, Operations Engineering could be the perfect fit for you./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliDesign and implement state-of-the-art factory standards such as intuitive visual queuing, standardized lineside equipment, efficient space allocations, inspirational artwork, etc./liliDesign and optimize factory layouts using SketchUp, ensuring linear product flow/liliIdentify operational challenges within the organization, determine root cause, and develop creative and effective solutions/liliActively perform continuous improvements for production processes, quality, faster build times, lower maintenance needs, project kitting, streamlined communication between teams, and feedback loops/liliDevelop, track, and standardize key performance indicators that quantify production system health and drive appropriate action/liliDevelop tools and reports to analyze delivery, capacity, cost problems for production, supply chain, and operations to guide decision-making/liliDevelop process flow models to analyze production system behavior and synchronize output with other elements of the company/liliConduct in-depth analyses of complex datasets using SQL and other relevant data tools to identify trends, diagnose issues, and develop data-driven solutions/liliDevelop automation that mitigates business risk or creates efficiencies within the Raptor factory/liliCapture best practices of production systems, and manage organizational knowledge and lessons-learned/li/ulpstrongBasic Qualifications:/strong/pulliBachelors degree/lili1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or industrial project management/li/ulpstrongPreferred Skills and Experience:/strong/pulliBachelors degree in engineering, business, supply chain, management information systems, or computer science/lili1+ years of experience in using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis or modeling dynamic systems/liliProficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualization/liliTechnical knowledge and skills in coding and computer applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI, CAD, etc.)/liliExperience with inventory, production, and capacity planning (including MRP/ERP systems)/liliExperience as an industrial, operations, process or manufacturing engineer in a developmental manufacturing environment/liliExperience leading multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams working on strategic problems/liliAbility to develop and maintain strong internal and external supplier/customer relationships in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment/liliStrong track record of implementing continuous improvement efforts, ideally using problem solving frameworks including lean principles, six sigma, or Kaizen concepts/liliRemarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed and accuracy/liliSelf-motivated, quick learner, and ability to prioritize efforts to meet customer and company goals/liliExcellent written and communication skills/li/ulpstrongAdditional Requirements:/strong/pulliPhysical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying light weight such as materials or equipment (up to 15 lbs. unassisted)/liliMust be able to work extended hours and/or weekends when needed to meet major milestones/liliThis position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote work not considered/li/ulpstrongCompensation and Benefits:/strong/ppPay range: Operations Analyst /Level I: $80,000

$115,000/per year/ppYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience./ppBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
