Job Description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects in the Property industry. Collaborate with project managers and architects to review project plans and specifications. Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy and competitiveness. Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals for new projects. Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. Monitor project budgets and provide recommendations to ensure cost efficiency. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Identify and mitigate potential risks in project costing and execution.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

• MUST have estimated projects over $100 Million
• MUST have NYC experience
• Proven expertise in the Property industry, particularly in construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate cost projections.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in construction estimation.
