Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Family Service Counselor based in Sheboygan, WI. The Family Service Counselor will work closely with families to provide compassionate guidance and personalized support in planning and honoring the legacy of their loved ones. Responsibilities include assisting families with cemetery and funeral arrangements, generating leads for pre-need services, offering burial and insurance options, and building long-term relationships to serve as a resource to the community. Acting as a steady presence, you will help families celebrate life while meeting their needs with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
Expertise in Family Services and experience working in Funeral Homes or related fields
Strong skills in Lead Generation and Insurance solutions to provide pre-need and at-need services
Excellent Communication and interpersonal abilities to connect compassionately with families
Ability to work on-site with flexibility and sensitivity to meet families' needs
Previous experience with grief support services or death care is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or education in a related field is a benefit
