This is a unique direct care opportunity to

provide coaching, support, and advocacy

in support of recovery from substance abuse and other mental health issues by sharing your lived experience. Additional responsibilities include: Facilitating wellness management and recovery with formalized approaches

such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), or Whole Health Action Management (WHAM). Participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and providing

consultation

in recovery

principles and strategies. Utilizing assertive engagement techniques to engage clients including

Must obtain the Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) within one year of hire. Must self-identify as an individual who is in the process of recovery from a serious mental illness or be in recovery for substance abuse. A driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
