Seasonal position (tax season: January – April)
Murtha & Flischel is a trusted CPA firm specializing in tax preparation and accounting services. As we enter our busy tax season, we are seeking detail-oriented and reliable individuals to support our team through accurate data entry and administrative processing.
This seasonal role is ideal for someone who enjoys focused, structured work, takes pride in accuracy, and can maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
What You’ll Do:
Accurately enter client tax information into the firm’s tax software (UltraTax)
Verify entered data by cross-checking source documents
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information
Organize and maintain digital and/or physical client records
Meet established productivity and quality standards during peak tax season
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong typing and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Prior data entry or administrative experience is a plus
Familiarity with common tax forms (W-2, 1099, 1098, etc.) preferred but not required
Seasonal Expectations:
Position runs during tax season (January–April)
High workload and time-sensitive tasks during peak periods
Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Overtime opportunities may be available during peak periods and are communicated in advance
