Overview Alpha Paving is growing in Houston! We are looking for a driven Account Executive to help expand our footprint in the commercial paving and concrete market. This is a true new business development role designed for a sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals.

The Account Executive is the face of Alpha Paving to clients, responsible for identifying opportunities, developing long‑term partnerships, and guiding projects from signed contract through successful completion in close collaboration with internal operations teams.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Proactively hunt and secure new commercial and industrial paving opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and market research

Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, and key decision-makers

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial engagement through project completion

Qualify incoming opportunities and determine project fit in partnership with operations and leadership

Conduct site walks and attend pre‑construction or pre‑project meetings to understand scope and client needs

Develop and present sales proposals and scopes of work (pricing and estimating handled by internal teams)

Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with Alpha Paving’s capabilities and growth goals

Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, identifying new verticals and repeat business opportunities

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs after contract execution

Monitor market activity, competitors, and upcoming projects to stay ahead of opportunities

Proven success in business development or account executive roles within commercial construction or related industries

Strong ability to open new accounts and build trust with mid‑to‑senior‑level decision‑makers

Confident, consultative sales approach with excellent negotiation and closing skills

Comfort conducting site visits and discussing scope at a high level

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Strong communication and follow‑through skills to ensure client satisfaction

Experience working cross‑functionally with operations and project teams

Familiarity with CRM tools and pipeline management
