What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Verify patient prescription benefits, including medical and pharmacy coverage, for accurate billing and reimbursement
Investigate authorization requirements for medications and ancillary supplies while collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies
Determine patient eligibility for copay card assistance programs and facilitate enrollment
Perform all Benefit Investigation functions, providing thorough and timely responses to requests
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GED or licensed/registered pharmacy technician or previous experience in pharmacy
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes, Roman numerals, and brand/generic names of medications
Basic math and analytical skills
Intermediate typing/keyboard skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare‑related field
Familiarity with complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services
