Role Overview
The Drafter will play a key role in transforming architectural plans and client specifications into precise shop drawings used for manufacturing and installation. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and consistent communication with internal teams to ensure project accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed and accurate shop drawings for aluminum related commercial construction projects. Interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and client drawings to develop complete drafting packages. Review sealed shop drawings and client markups to ensure all construction details are captured correctly for procurement and installation teams. Collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and other internal stakeholders. Maintain organized project documentation using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft platforms such as SharePoint and Teams. What You Bring
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on drafting experience (architectural, structural, steel fabrication, or similar). Professional experience in drafting,
ideally within commercial construction or metal fabrication. Proficiency in
AutoCAD, Bluebeam,
and related drafting software. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans; familiarity with civil plans is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality, accurate technical drawings. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Strong organizational habits and documentation skills. Understanding of construction methods, materials, and project workflows. Ability to adapt to shifting project requirements and timelines.
