Job Summary The Sales Planning Manager plays a critical role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and rigor throughout the sales process. Acting as the operational backbone, this individual, in partnership with cross‑functional partners, develops and manages sales forecasts and ensures data integrity across systems and trackers.

This position will function as a strategic partner to implement and manage sales planning forecasts across both digital and commercial channels. The chosen candidate must develop strong cross‑functional relationships, particularly with marketing, finance, operations teams and across the commercial organization. Additionally, the candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to present data insights to Sales and Marketing leadership in a concise and confident manner.

This position will play a key role in all channels by conducting high‑quality analysis, proactively identifying trends, and synthesizing multiple data sources to derive clear sales plans and recommendations for growth. Insight into action is imperative. This role requires independence and the ability to actively identify opportunities through storytelling, analytics, and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Build out the sales planning process for the wholesale and digital channel, with oversight from the SVP

Develop analysis, reports, and insights that support driving business forward while flagging actionable recommendations, risks, delays, and key trends for cross‑functional partners and leadership

Ensure planning decisions are aligned with broader company goals, including pacing, margin targets, and supply‑chain constraints

Maintain high standards of sales forecast data hygiene, ensuring accuracy and consistent forecasting inputs

Surface risks and opportunities early; propose data‑driven solutions

Align sales targets and margin goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis in collaboration with sales leads by channel and by customer

Provide overviews to leadership at key planning intervals

Communicating financial performance of key items and promotions to senior management, including comparative benchmarks

Crafting reports and dashboards that inform decision‑making

Validating data to ensure accurate reporting

Proven ability to analyze and identify opportunities for growth with key retailers and bring them to life

Performing ongoing analytical projects as requested by management

Qualifications

3‑5 years of experience in sales planning in beauty, with exposure to digital, e‑commerce, and retail (Ulta or Sephora) channels required

Proven judgment skills and ability to influence and build strong relationships, particularly with Sales and Marketing leadership

Ability to analyze historical trends and current performance to optimize sell‑in and replenishment

Exceptional organization and communication with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities

Experience working with forecasting software and ERP systems. NetSuite and/or Netstock experience preferred

Highly comfortable in Excel (extensive experience with pivot tables, if/then functions, lookups, at minimum)

Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and supporting cross‑functional teams

Strong attention to detail and accountability

The base salary range for this role is $100,000–$120,000, depending on skills and experience levels.
