In-House Employment Counsel
to their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and well-supported legal department in a dynamic organization. This role involves providing strategic and practical advice on employment law and compliance matters, partnering closely with HR, senior business leaders, and overseeing employment disputes, agreements and policies.
The ideal candidate will bring broad employment law expertise, including experience with restrictive covenant litigation strategy and management, EEOC and other employment-related claims, wage and hour matters, RIFs, and drafting/reviewing/updating employment agreements and policies.
If you have at least 7 years of applicable in-house or law firm experience in these areas and are looking for your next career move, we'd love to talk with you about this great opportunity. This is an on-site position in Charlotte, NC and candidates should already reside in the area.
Requirements for the In-House Employment Counsel:
7+ years of experience advising on L&E matters, preferably with an Am Law 200 or boutique law firm and/or in-house legal department Experience providing legal analysis and counsel to both internal clients and HR Department on a wide array of employment matters Experience handling EEOC claims, wrongful termination claims and other L&E litigation matters Experience with restrictive covenant litigation Insurance industry experience is a plus Demonstrated capability to develop strong client partnership with a company’s HR team Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with business teams Stellar analytical skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment JD from a top ABA-accredited law school Licensed to practice law in any state Outstanding professional references
Position Details of the In-House Employment Counsel:
Type of role: Direct-Hire In-House Counsel Schedule: Full-time Location: Onsite (Charlotte, NC)
Compensation:
Pay: The base salary range for this role will be competitive and is the role is also eligible for a significant bonus. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials.
Benefits: In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided.
