Human Resources Business Partner
Our team is working with a client in Kalamazoo, MI find a Human Resources Business Partner to join their team. The Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with management to align HR strategies with business goals. This role handles recruiting, talent management, policy development, training, compliance, and employee relations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and business acumen are essential.
Key Responsibilities for Human Resources Business Partner
- Manage full-cycle recruiting (HQ and field staff), including job postings, interviews, and offers.
- Oversee union bids and progression activities.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Advise on workforce planning, succession planning, and HR policies.
- Support supervisors with employee relations and HR guidance.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and assist with audits.
- Identify training needs, develop materials, and monitor program success.
- Assist with contract negotiations, wage increases, and benefits administration.
- Perform general HR administrative tasks and support day-to-day operations.
Qualifications for Human Resources Business Partner
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (or ability to obtain within one year).
- 8–10 years of experience in employee relations and HR disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems
