As an

Enterprise Pre-Sales Systems Engineer

at Veeam, you will act as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to large enterprise customers facing complex data resilience and cyber recovery challenges. You will engage deeply with both technical and executive stakeholders to design secure, resilient, and future‑ready architectures across hybrid, multi‑cloud, and SaaS environments. This role blends hands‑on technical expertise with executive‑level influence, driving real business outcomes through resilient data platforms.

What You’ll Do

Lead complex enterprise pre‑sales engagements, including discovery, solution design, architecture validation, and technical closure

Translate business objectives into secure, scalable, and resilient technical architectures for enterprise customers

Deliver high‑impact technical demonstrations and executive‑level presentations focused on business value and cyber risk reduction

Design, manage, and execute proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) aligned to customer success criteria and operational realities

Collaborate with sales teams, partners, product management, and engineering to influence solution architecture and customer outcomes

Technologies You’ll Work With Hybrid Cloud, Multi‑Cloud & SaaS Platforms, Virtualization Technologies, Enterprise Storage Systems, Cyber Resilience & Data Protection Technologies

What You’ll Bring

10+ years of experience in pre‑sales engineering, solutions architecture, or senior technical leadership roles within enterprise environments

Foundational understanding of AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), with the ability to articulate how trusted, resilient data underpins AI initiatives.

Proven success leading complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles including discovery, solution design, POCs, and executive engagements

Strong technical foundation across data resilience, infrastructure platforms, cloud services, networking, and security

Solid understanding of data security, privacy, governance, and regulatory considerations for enterprise customers

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C‑level executives and senior IT leaders

Bonus Skills

Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

Hands‑on knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise deployments

Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or Nutanix AHV

Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud‑native data protection

Background working with data protection, cyber resilience, or enterprise infrastructure vendors

Compensation Transparency Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance‑based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, and skills. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

$177,800 – $330,100 CAD
