What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory Perform cleaning and inspection of equipment, including checking fluid levels Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, as well as install hitches and trailer wiring
What is Required (Qualifications)
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record High school diploma or equivalent Ability to manage moderate physical exertion, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. Willingness to adhere to safety precautions when working around moving parts or chemicals Availability to participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous experience in customer service or a related field Familiarity with equipment maintenance and safety protocols Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Interest in pursuing certifications offered by U-Haul, such as forklift operation and propane filling
