About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Southern Maryland Chapter. This pivotal role is focused on external community relations, with a strong emphasis on dynamic leadership, building transformative relationships, and championing an influential Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be the vital link between the organization and the local communities, ensuring a deep and lasting impact. Responsibilities include expanding the organization's presence, forging strong connections with community leaders, businesses, and elected officials, and leading a diverse and well-connected Board to support the mission. The Executive Director will also be responsible for inspiring a high-performing team, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging, and spearheading the chapter's annual planning process.

Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and mission delivery. Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on a team, be proficient in MS Office, and have a current valid driver's license. The Executive Director will be expected to travel within the region and may be required to work under challenging conditions. The position demands a leader who can think strategically, inspire others, and is dedicated to the values of the organization.
