About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Southern Maryland Chapter. This role is pivotal in leading the chapter's dynamic presence in the community, with a focus on external relations and community engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for building transformative relationships with influential community leaders, businesses, philanthropists, and elected officials to expand the chapter's impact. As the Chapter's leader, the Executive Director will also champion an influential Board of Directors, inspire a high-performing team, and create a culture of inclusion and belonging. Visionary chapter planning and strategic leadership are essential, as is the ability to work closely with the Regional CEO to shape the direction and success of the organization in the region.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as a proven track record in developing and implementing fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a background in community organization, public or business administration, or non-profit management, and be proficient in MS Office. The Executive Director will be expected to travel within the communities served and the region, and must have a current valid driver's license with a good driving record. The position demands a visionary leader who can inspire others, think strategically, and foster a culture of collaboration and belonging.
