About the Role
The organization is seeking a Director of Executive Leadership for its Southern Maryland Chapter. This pivotal role emphasizes dynamic leadership and the ability to build transformative relationships with the community and an influential Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will act as a crucial link between the organization and local communities, ensuring a deep and lasting impact. Responsibilities include enhancing the organization's visibility, forging robust connections with community leaders, businesses, and elected officials, as well as guiding a diverse and well-connected Board to support the mission of the organization. The Director will also inspire a high-performing team, cultivate a culture of inclusion and belonging, and lead the chapter's annual planning process.
Successful candidates should possess a four-year college degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred) and have a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and mission delivery. Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have team collaboration experience, proficiency in MS Office, and a valid driver’s license. The Director will be expected to travel within the region and may need to work under challenging conditions. This position demands a leader who can think strategically, inspire others, and is committed to the organization’s values.
