Parts Counter Person Trainee
to join our fast-paced Parts Department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn the automotive industry, build a career, and grow into a commission-based role. Pay
Minimum wage while training
After successfully completing training, there is potential to earn commission based on performance and position eligibility.
Responsibilities
Receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping parts
Assisting with packing and unpacking inventory
Responding quickly to technicians’ parts requests
Researching and locating products for customers and service staff
Running inventory reports to help maintain accurate stock levels
Professional handling of phones and counter sales as needed
Effectively communicating with employees, customers, managers, vendors, and the public
Warehouse duties as needed
Possible porter duties as needed, including helping move vehicles or supporting dealership operations
Qualifications
Ability to identify issues quickly and problem-solve
Basic knowledge of automobiles (or strong willingness to learn)
Ability to learn new technology, systems, and automotive procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
Positive, friendly attitude and commitment to customer service
High school diploma or equivalent
Auto parts or customer service experience (preferred, but not required)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with a professional appearance and strong work ethic
