MissionHires is recruiting an Intermediate Architectural Designer for an award-winning architecture firm in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate is a strong form-giver with 3–5 years of experience (including 2–3 years in multi-family preferred), able to rapidly translate ideas into compelling concepts for multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, leveraging SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, and hand sketching to generate and communicate design solutions for challenging urban sites. Hybrid role: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
How You'll Contribute
Develop and iterate architectural concepts for multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects
Produce quick concept sketches, studies, and presentations using SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Suite
Apply strong design and form-giving skills to complex urban sites
Communicate design intent clearly to firm leaders, colleagues, and clients
Collaborate as part of a project team in a fast-paced studio environment
Contribute hand sketches and drafting to advance design ideas from concept through refinement
Support project documentation and visualizations as needed for client presentations
What Makes You a Great Fit
3–5 years of professional architecture experience, including 2–3 years in multi-family design preferred
Experience in at least one of the following: multi-family or mixed-use (required)
Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to create architectural designs and concepts through hand sketching and drafting
Strong design and form-giving skills with a portfolio demonstrating concept development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
Ideally on the path to architectural licensure
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to work a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the Downtown Los Angeles office, 2 days from home
