
Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Manufacturing

Overview
We’re recruiting on behalf of a privately held industrial manufacturer with international backing and a growing U.S. customer base. This role is remote but requires the sales professional to be based in the Southern United States to effectively support a multi-state, field-driven territory. Applicants outside this region will not be considered. This is an individual-contributor sales role focused on new business development and territory expansion, alongside growing existing customer relationships. The position is best suited for a hunter-style sales professional who enjoys opening doors, prospecting independently, and building long-term customer relationships from the ground up. Responsibilities
Drive new customer acquisition through proactive prospecting and on-site engagement Open doors with new manufacturing accounts and convert opportunities into long-term business Manage direct sales relationships with end-user manufacturing customers Spend significant time visiting customer facilities and working with plant-level teams Provide application-level guidance for engineered or made-to-order products Build account strategies, pricing approaches, and long-term customer agreements Monitor market activity and competitor movement to uncover growth opportunities Partner internally to support order flow, delivery, and customer satisfaction Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and territory performance Candidate Profile
B2B sales experience selling directly to manufacturing customers (OEM / end-user manufacturers) Demonstrated success opening new accounts and developing territory-based business Comfortable operating independently in a remote, travel-driven role Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills Willingness to travel up to 50% (company vehicle provided) Background in industrial, engineered, or made-to-order products preferred Distribution- or channel-only sales experience is not a fit Formal degree helpful, but not required Additional Details
