Dame
Do you love building culturally relevant brands in constrained environments? Are you energized by making a few smart bets—and then making them work—rather than throwing money and people at problems?
Dame Products is a profitable, fast-growing sexual wellness brand redefining how society talks about pleasure and intimacy. We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Marketing to own our marketing strategy across DTC and retail, lead a small team, and drive focused, profitable growth.
This is not a role for someone looking to build a big org or manage from a distance.
We’re not looking to build a big team or burn big budgets—we’re looking for someone who loves making the right bets.
If you crush it, we’ll absolutely grow—but scale is earned through results.
What You’ll Own
Own the end-to-end marketing strategy across DTC and retail (including Target), balancing brand building with performance marketing that drives profitability Lead and manage a small marketing team, setting clear goals, frameworks, and expectations so people know how to succeed—and when they’re not Act as a true player–coach: close to the work, close to the data, and actively shaping strategy and execution Own the marketing P&L, with accountability for CAC, LTV, contribution margin, and overall efficiency Drive focused prioritization—deciding what not to do as often as what to do Partner with retail teams on expansion, new retailer onboarding, co-marketing initiatives, and in-store merchandising Develop brand initiatives and moments that build cultural relevance and punch above our weight Use AI and automation to increase creative output, improve analysis, and unlock efficiency Build repeatable systems and processes that allow the function to scale when the business earns it Note: This is primarily an internal-facing leadership role. External representation (press, conferences, etc.) may happen occasionally but is not a core expectation. Who You Are
7–10+ years of experience in marketing or growth, with hands-on experience scaling consumer brands You’ve helped grow a brand meaningfully—ideally from ~$5–10M into the next phase ($20M+)—and understand the realities of constrained growth Deeply fluent in performance marketing: CAC, LTV, MeR, attribution tradeoffs, and margin impact are second nature to you Experienced managing people and setting up frameworks that help teams perform clearly and consistently You enjoy being a player–coach and don’t see hands-on work as a step backward You believe focus is a competitive advantage and are comfortable making hard tradeoffs You care deeply about building culturally relevant brands—you understand taste, timing, and narrative, not just conversion rates You’re excited to work on a brand that challenges norms, but you’re here primarily because you love building great brands, not just the category AI-curious or AI-forward, already experimenting with tools to work smarter and faster Pragmatic, low-ego, and energized by startup environments Compensation
$160K–$180K base, depending on experience Equity + performance-based bonus tied to outcomes Apply at careers@dameproducts.com Dame is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
