Account Executive - ASPM / Cyber Security/ GTM Location:

Boston US (2-3 days in office) Our client, an early-stage cybersecurity start-up, is seeking an Account Executive to lead go-to-market execution and drive revenue growth from Boston, Massachusetts. This role is well suited to sales professionals with cybersecurity start-up experience who are motivated by building GTM motions, selling into complex security environments, and shaping early enterprise traction. About the Company Our client operates in the Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) space, helping organisations gain visibility into application-layer risk, prioritise vulnerabilities, and reduce exposure across the modern software development lifecycle. The company is building a modern, intelligence-driven platform designed for security and engineering teams managing increasingly complex application environments. The business is early-stage, well backed, and entering a rapid growth phase. About the Role This is a high-impact, foundational opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building from the ground up. As one of the first Account Executives, you will help define the company’s GTM sales motion, enterprise footprint, and positioning within the ASPM and broader application security market. This role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with responsibility for driving enterprise adoption across the United States. As an Account Executive, you will be instrumental in positioning the company’s ASPM platform and building trusted relationships with enterprise security and engineering leaders. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute GTM sales strategies that position the company’s ASPM platform as a category-defining solution within application security Identify, engage, and close new enterprise and upper mid-market opportunities, building strong relationships with CISOs, AppSec leaders, and engineering stakeholders Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, with a focus on repeatable, sustainable revenue growth Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and the wider GTM team to refine messaging, support pipeline generation, and provide market feedback Track, analyse, and report on pipeline and performance metrics to continuously optimise execution and exceed revenue targets Act as a trusted adviser by deeply understanding customer application security challenges and translating them into clear, measurable business outcomes Requirements 3+ years’ experience in enterprise software or cybersecurity sales, ideally within AppSec, ASPM, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or adjacent domains Demonstrated success owning full-cycle sales and exceeding quota in a start-up or GTM-focused environment Strong understanding of modern application security challenges, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and vulnerability management Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level relationship-building skills Based in or near Boston, Massachusetts, with willingness to travel for customers and industry events as required If you're the successful applicant, somebody from our team will reach out!
