Job summary: I am looking to hire a L1 Product Owner that can manage a team of BAs as well as a technology team. Product Owner - Deposits Location: Charlotte, NC Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) Visa Sponsorship: Not available We are seeking an Agile Product Owner to lead product delivery execution for the Deposits domain. This role will play a critical part in shaping how deposit data is captured, analyzed, and consumed across Finance by driving consistent requirements intake, rigorous data analysis, and structured change and release management processes. The ideal candidate will partner deeply with various Finance teams, Technology, Upstream and Downstream partners to define business needs, complete end‑to‑end data profiling and rationalization, and ensure high‑quality delivery of capabilities that support Finance reporting, analytics, and transformation priorities. In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

Requirements Management & Analysis Lead end‑to‑end requirements collection for Deposit data, partnering with various Finance LOBs, Cross Product teams, Operations, and Technology stakeholders.

Data profiling, lineage validation, and source‑to‑target analysis Perform data profiling, lineage validation, and source‑to‑target analysis to ensure requirements are accurate, complete, and grounded in data realities.

Analyze, rationalize, and validate business requirements to eliminate redundancy, simplify complexity, and align with enterprise data standards.

Translate business needs into clear epics, features, and user stories with proper acceptance criteria.

Backlog Ownership & Delivery Support Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring transparency, prioritization, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Work closely with Agile delivery teams using both Scrum and Kanban methodologies to ensure clarity of scope and timely delivery.

Facilitate grooming sessions, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives to drive consistent execution.

Change Management & Release Management Oversee change management processes including impact assessments, communication plans, stakeholder alignment, and readiness activities.

Partner with Technology teams to lead release management, including deployment planning, validation, and post‑release monitoring.

Ensure traceability of requirements through development, testing, and deployment.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Act as the primary liaison between business partners and delivery teams, ensuring effective communication of scope, risks, and design decisions.

Indirectly lead cross‑functional teams to drive initiatives, resolve issues, and deliver measurable business value.

Collaborate with mid‑level and senior managers to align on objectives and remove roadblocks.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Agile product ownership or product management (Scrum and Kanban).

Demonstrated experience collecting and analyzing requirements for data, reporting, or financial systems.

Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence and gain alignment across stakeholders.

Experience with data profiling, data lineage, and analytical/data flows.

Understanding of financial services products - preferably Deposits

Desired Qualifications:

Experience developing roadmaps, OKRs, and KPIs

Highly skilled in simplifying complex data and business concepts for multiple audiences.

Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with a strong focus on customer and team member experience.

Ability to analyze and test data via SQL

Job Expectations

Candidate has to be local to Charlotte

Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote (subject to change based on business needs).

Salary: $75.75 - 78.00 per hour

Work Hours: 8am to 5pm
