Fulton Center for Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Food Service Director to lead daily dietary operations and ensure compliance with Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) and CMS regulations. This role is responsible for managing food service operations, supervising staff, and ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality meals that meet prescribed dietary needs. A Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential is preferred.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and direct daily food service operations in compliance with Georgia DCH, CMS, and local health department regulations
Supervise dietary aides, cooks, and food service staff to ensure safe, efficient, and timely meal service
Implement approved menus and therapeutic diets as ordered by physicians and guided by the consulting Registered Dietitian
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, infection control, and temperature monitoring requirements
Maintain accurate documentation including food temperatures, sanitation logs, inventory, and purchasing records
Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as assigned
Collaborate with the consulting Registered Dietitian to ensure nutritional adequacy and survey readiness
Monitor food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly
Requirements
Must hold a Certified Dietary Manager certificate or a Culinary Degree with Long Term Care Experience.
ServSafe® certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Minimum 1 year of food service management experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of Georgia long-term care dietary regulations
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced department
