Position Overview As a Strategy & Valuation Associate, you will serve as a critical thought partner to the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer, operating at the intersection of strategy, finance, valuation, competitive intelligence, and transaction execution. This highly visible role supports future acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and enterprise‑level decision making across the portfolio.
This is a front‑office‑leaning role for a highly analytical, extroverted finance professional who can move seamlessly between deep analysis and senior‑level communication. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate with confidence, and bring both intellectual rigor and execution speed.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain valuation models, operating models, and scenario analyses to support acquisitions, strategic planning, and major business decisions.
Conduct deep financial, market, and competitive landscape analysis to inform growth strategy, acquisition targets, and long‑term value creation.
Partner with leadership on capital allocation, unit economics, and ROI analysis across the portfolio.
Support M&A and strategic transactions, including target evaluation, diligence support, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
Work closely with investment bankers, advisors, and strategic counterparties on acquisition‑related analyses, valuation discussions, and transaction execution.
Prepare banker‑facing and executive‑level materials, including pitch decks, valuation analyses, investment memos, and data room content.
Support leadership in meetings with investment bankers, advisors, and potential acquisition targets.
Serve as a U.S.‑based point of contact for select financial and strategic stakeholders as needed.
Lead high‑impact strategic finance and acquisition‑related projects directly for the CEO and executive team.
Develop business cases, white‑space analyses, and competitive assessments to evaluate new opportunities and market entry strategies.
Synthesize complex financial and strategic insights into clear, concise executive‑level messaging and presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
3–5+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, deal‑focused accounting firms, or high‑growth startups with significant finance exposure.
Advanced proficiency in DCF, comparable company analysis, transaction comps, LBOs, and operating models.
Experience supporting acquisitions, competitive analysis, and strategic transactions.
Highly proficient in creating investment‑grade decks and executive presentations.
Strong communicator, extroverted, polished, confident, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership and external partners, including bankers.
Strong analytical and research‑driven mindset.
Execution oriented – thrives in fast‑paced, high‑expectation environments with a bias for action.
Effective multitasker – manages multiple strategic and transaction‑related workstreams simultaneously.
Hybrid position: 4 days in the New York, NY office.
Pay Rate $90,000 / yr – $100,000 / yr (actual salaries vary by experience, specialized skills, and internal alignment).
