The Senior Inside Sales Specialist, Perimeter Fencing, supports a national perimeter security and fencing products business through technical inside sales, material takeoffs, quoting, and customer communication.
The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, experience interpreting construction or fabrication drawings, and exposure to fencing, steel, metal fabrication, or construction products.
This individual is detail-oriented, steady under pressure, and comfortable supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to perform accurate perimeter and linear footage takeoffs, determine required materials, and prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and pricing packages.
Act as the primary inside sales and estimating partner to an assigned Outside Sales Representative, supporting project handoff, pricing accuracy, and customer communication.
Respond to inbound contractor and distributor inquiries, clarify technical requirements, and communicate product configurations, pricing, lead times, and order terms.
Support sales growth by developing strong working relationships with customers and internal cross-functional teams.
Enter, process, and track orders from quote through shipment, coordinating closely with planning, production, supply chain, customer service, and shipping teams.
Utilize ERP, CRM, and internal systems to document activity, manage opportunities, track project timelines, and provide proactive status updates.
Maintain working knowledge of perimeter security products, fencing systems, applications, and competitive alternatives.
Experience reading blueprints or construction drawings and performing takeoffs, estimating support, or bills of material within fencing, steel, metal fabrication, building products, or construction materials.
Background in inside sales, technical sales support, estimating coordination, or project support within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ability to manage multiple quotes and active projects simultaneously while maintaining strong accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
Exposure to fencing systems, perimeter security products, industrial steel, metal buildings, or construction materials strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear, customer-facing information.
Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems and comfort working in structured, process-driven environments.
