The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role./ph3What Youll Do/h3pAs an Account Representative, youll be a business partner for the assigned account package by collaborating with Key Account Manager or Field Account Manager. Account Representatives are to grow volume and profitability of account package by promoting the value of Viking Electrics products and service offerings./ppOn a typical day, you will:/pulliPrepare and proactively follow up on quotes and sales opportunities to secure orders, negotiate job pricing with vendors to close opportunities, and source products in an efficient manner./liliProactively solicit new business from assigned accounts, maintain a thorough knowledge of, and actively promote, Viking Electrics services, solutions, and product offerings particularly with digital solutions./liliServe as a business partner with the Field Account Manager and/or Key Account Managers to develop and execute growth strategies for assigned accounts./liliCoordinate with Customer Service Representatives to process customer orders accurately and efficiently, share customer information/preferences for consistent customer service, and delegate when possible./liliSupport the efforts of other sales associates to create a cooperative team approach to customer service./liliMaximize sales and profitability by understanding the marketplace and competition. Assist with pricing strategy and make price rule modifications as needed./liliMaintain an electronic file system for all customer-related information and past conversations (quotations, special pricing, purchase orders, product information, etc.) to quickly recall the relevant details needed to close order./li/ulh3What You Bring/h3pRequirements:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED equivalent/liliStrong communication skills, both written and verbal/liliProficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new technology./liliAttention to detail with developed organizational skills./liliWillingness to learn about our products through on-the-job training/liliMust be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future/li/ulpPreferred, but not required:/pulliMinimum 1 year at the Counter Sales or equivalent experience with electrical products is preferred/li/ulh3What We Offer You/h3pWe offer great family-friendly benefits to full-time associates:/pulliHealthcare plans/liliDental
