
Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist ensures that agency programs, operations, and activities comply with applicable federal laws, state statutes, regulations, policies, and contractual requirements. This position supports risk management efforts by monitoring compliance, conducting reviews and audits, providing guidance, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and evaluate agency programs and operations for compliance with state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies
Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and assessments; document findings and prepare written reports
Investigate potential compliance issues, complaints, or violations and recommend corrective actions
Assist in developing, updating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures
Provide compliance guidance and technical assistance to agency staff and stakeholders
Track corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of compliance findings
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state record-keeping requirements
Prepare reports for management, regulatory agencies, and oversight bodies
Participate in training initiatives to promote compliance awareness and best practices
Stay current on changes in applicable laws, regulations, and standards impacting agency operations
Minimum Qualifications Must live in Georgia
High School diploma/GED and 2 years of job related experience
