Job type: Full Time · Department: Operations · Work type: On-Site About Fulcrum

The $1.5 trillion insurance industry is powered by brokers. Every business needs insurance, and the brokerage industry is hamstrung by account management capacity. Account managers are constantly pulled in multiple directions—keying information into systems, chasing documents, doing mundane work—rather than focusing on the client interactions that actually matter. Most brokerages either outsource this work or grind through it manually. We're building an AI platform to automate this insurance drudgery. Our platform already saves customers thousands of hours and millions of dollars every year. Our customers love the product— we have deep penetration within enterprise brokerages and genuinely enjoy making our customers' lives better. We just raised our Series A and are just getting started. Why Fulcrum

Rocket-ship growth.

We’ve achieved multiple seven figures in ARR in just over a year, serving large enterprise clients including 30% of the top 50 brokers in the country. Extreme ownership.

You’ll work directly with enterprise users and ship end-to-end products that save them hours every week. Bleeding-edge problems, real impact.

Tackle tough AI and product challenges whose wins show up immediately in customer workflows. In-person collaboration.

Join a lean, staff-level team (ex-Affirm, Uber, DoorDash, McKinsey) working side‑by‑side in San Francisco; we believe the best ideas are fostered in an in‑person environment. Top‑of‑market rewards.

Competitive base salary plus meaningful founding‑team equity. About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned P&C insurance pro to be our in‑house expert—your knowledge will shape the product, power our AI, and support top‑tier clients. This is a unique opportunity for a senior account manager to join a high‑growth tech company and have a direct impact on what we build and how we scale. Act as our in‑house subject matter expert (SME) on insurance products. Partner with Customer Success, Product & Engineering to ensure customer needs and industry standards shape our roadmap. Collaborate on training and fine‑tuning AI systems by managing data annotation, validating model outputs, and identifying required logic. Support high‑impact customer success initiatives, bringing deep insurance knowledge to drive adoption and retention. Represent the voice of the customer in roadmap planning, prioritizing what matters most to insurers and distribution partners. Develop and refine training materials, FAQs, and process docs to upskill teams and empower customers. Lead customer relationships to provide guidance, answer product questions, and translate insurance lingo into business outcomes. Collaborate cross‑functionally to troubleshoot edge cases and ensure smooth implementation of insurance workflows. Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitive products—and bring that insight back to the team. Example Projects

Build the onboarding and training engine:

For new customers, design implementation strategy based on customer’s needs, team make‑up and Fulcrum’s capabilities. Deliver (and over time further build out) Fulcrum training program for newly onboarded clients, tailored to customer adoption metrics. For example, determine when further intervention is needed for a given customer and where time spent could drive most impact. Tune Fulcrum’s data extraction engine to improve performance:

Create the ‘schema’ or structure for a given coverage line (e.g., determining what fields to extract), oversee efforts to annotate insurance documents to act as our base data set, and tailor extraction methods for specific carriers by adding to our rule engine. Shape the product roadmap based on experience:

For example, prioritize expansion into additional coverage lines or other areas like benefits, personal lines; define product requirements for ‘coverage highlights’ feature to inform engineering’s approach. Who You Are

Experienced insurance professional:

You bring 4–10 years of hands‑on experience in the Property & Casualty space—likely as a senior account manager, producer, or similar client‑facing role. Deep industry insight:

You understand how brokerages operate and have a sharp eye for inefficiencies and opportunities to improve workflows. Zero‑to‑one mindset:

You thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments and are excited to help build from scratch. Collaborative and cross‑functional:

You’re comfortable partnering with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver results that matter. Positive and service‑oriented:

You bring a grounded, upbeat demeanor that puts clients and teammates at ease—and makes complex topics easy to understand. Trainer and communicator:

You’ve successfully trained users—whether onboarding new hires, educating clients, or launching internal initiatives—and you enjoy enabling others. Bay Area based:

You’re located in the San Francisco Bay Area and excited to collaborate with a tight‑knit team in person. Owner mentality:

You want to be more than a subject matter expert—you’re looking for a high‑leverage seat at the table where your work shapes the product and the business. What we offer

Competitive salary ($150k‑$200k) + meaningful equity. High‑ownership, high‑trust culture with lightning‑fast executors. Regular team off‑sites, dinners, and an office stocked for builders.
