About the Role As a Customer Service and Sales Consultant, you will deliver an exceptional experience for our customers, guiding them through every step of their CarMax journey. Your Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding service by assisting customers throughout their entire car-buying journey, from appraisals to test drives and financing applications. Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments and communicate findings to assist in appraisals. Receive and check in shipped vehicles; manage daily scanning and inventory reconciliation. Perform cosmetic inspections to uphold CarMax Quality Standards. Handle various administrative tasks, including printing reports, maintaining transaction paperwork, contacting finance companies, and ensuring accuracy in cash/payment management. Create service appointments and verify repair order invoices for accuracy. Purpose of the Role This fast-paced retail environment requires a dynamic team player who can quickly connect with customers and anticipate their needs. You will manage a variety of tasks with minimal supervision, including vehicle sales, processing paperwork, and overseeing vehicle appraisals and repairs. Confidence in yourself and in your knowledge of our product. Ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships. Strong teamwork skills emphasizing integrity, respect, and fun. Ability to balance customer needs with business responsibilities. Keen desire to understand and meet customer needs. Problem-solving skills to create win-win solutions. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-energy setting. Capacity to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous sales or customer service experience, preferably in retail. Valid Driver's License. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
