About This Role As a Sales and Customer Service Expert, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional experience for our customers, guiding them through their CarMax journey. Success in this role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure a positive customer experience when buying or selling vehicles. Key Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting customers from initial contact to vehicle appraisal, test drives, and financing arrangements. Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments, gathering and sharing information needed for customer appraisals. Receive and check in vehicles shipped to CarMax, ensuring accurate daily inventory tracking. Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure all vehicles meet CarMax's high-quality standards. Handle administrative tasks including report printing, transaction paperwork maintenance, communicating with finance companies, and cash/payment management. Schedule service appointments and review invoices for retail service work, ensuring billing documentation is accurate. Role Purpose This position is set in a dynamic retail sales environment where teamwork is vital. You will meet performance goals while managing diverse customer interactions, building rapport, and understanding customer needs effectively. The role encompasses vehicle sales, processing sales documentation, and overseeing repair orders, all while fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages professional growth into mentorship and leadership opportunities. Qualifications and Skills Exceptional communication skills. Confidence in yourself, the product, and in representing CarMax. Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships. Capable of reading, interpreting, and maintaining accurate records. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Education and Experience Needed High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail setting. Valid driver's license. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
