
Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Commercial HVAC Project Outside Sales Representative
to drive new project sales throughout the Denver metro area. This role focuses exclusively on
commercial HVAC projects , including new construction, tenant improvement, retrofit, and replacement work.
The ideal candidate understands commercial HVAC systems, thrives on relationship-based sales, and can manage projects from opportunity identification through contract close.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and close
commercial HVAC project opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, developers, engineers, and building owners
Conduct job walks and assess mechanical requirements for commercial facilities
Develop project estimates, proposals, and bid packages
Negotiate pricing, scope, and contracts to secure profitable projects
Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to ensure accurate scope and smooth handoff
Track pipeline activity and forecasts using CRM tools
Stay current on commercial HVAC equipment, controls, energy codes, and local regulations
Required Qualifications
3+ years of
commercial HVAC project sales
experience
Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, VAV, boilers, chillers, etc.)
Proven track record of closing commercial construction or retrofit projects
Ability to read plans, specs, and mechanical drawings
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly organized and self-directed
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Denver metro area
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships within the Denver commercial construction market
Experience with design-build and negotiated work
Mechanical or engineering background
Experience selling controls, energy upgrades, or large-scale retrofits
Competitive base salary + commission (uncapped)
Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (if applicable)
