Overview

Marketing & Admissions Assistant - School of Medicine at Brigham Young University (BYU) supports key operations within the Office of Admissions. The role contributes to program development, policy input, and strategic objectives related to admissions, student wellness, and alumni and premed relations. It also administers the Medical Society and the Summer Premed Research Internship (SPRI) program, including membership tracking, governance support, communications, and coordination of conferences and leadership meetings. The position collaborates with the Director of External Relations and the Admissions team to create recruiting materials and support website development and maintenance aligned with the BYU School of Medicine’s mission to provide a spiritually grounded and scientifically rigorous education for physicians who will serve globally. The role also provides administrative support to the Director and Dean of Admissions, including scheduling recruitment activities, coordinating meeting logistics, scheduling travel, and creating presentations. The incumbent exercises independent judgment in managing daily priorities, planning events, and making recommendations for marketing materials, while referring policy exceptions, major financial decisions, and final determinations to senior leadership. What You Will Be Doing In This Position

Admissions Program Development

Contribute to preparation for short- and long-term objectives related to the Office of Admissions, including integrated curriculum, international enrollment, and premed support programs. Support the development of policies related to admissions and student wellness. Support facility planning for admissions and student experience. Medical Society & Premed Program Administration

Assist with developing the Medical Society, including tracking membership, assisting with bylaws, and managing communications with members and leadership. Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for Medical Society conferences. Prepare and support logistics for Medical Society Leadership meetings. Help facilitate logistics related to the Summer Premed Research Internship (SPRI) program. Marketing

Coordinate with the BYU School of Medicine Director of External Relations and Admissions team to create recruiting materials for the Medical Society and the School of Medicine. Contribute to website development and maintenance for the School of Medicine. Administrative Assistant

Assist with scheduling and coordinating logistics of recruitment activities and other meetings. Develop presentations for the Associate Dean of Admissions. Assist with travel arrangements, spend authorizations, and expense reports as needed. Support the Director and Dean of Admissions as needed. Education/Experience – What Qualifies You

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree or five years of experience as an administrative/executive assistant, events coordinator, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and five years of administrative support experience. Experience with Medical Education and/or Marketing. Pay Grade: 49 Typical Starting Pay: $22.50–$29.25 Application timing:
